For hundreds and thousands of years, the sun has been the object of worship and religious rituals, a source of social organization and the creation of cultures that have spawned glorious civilizations.

Today, in the 21st century, the importance of renewable energy cannot be overstated as one of the only hopes for humanity in the face of the climate crisis.  The fact that for one hour, the sun's rays provide Energy equivalent to that produced from all fuels in the world for one year, Shows that the enormous potential for the use of solar energy is still far from being realized.

This potential accelerates the scientific research that seeks to develop advanced solar cells who use efficient technology in absorbing sunlight.    Thus, change can be produced in the extent of the energy utilization of the sun while lowering the costs of the process and making it available.

This project deals with the encounter between the worship of the sun from the ancient world and the worship of modern science and technology,    an encounter that can promote humanity's harmonious and sustainable life with nature.
It examines how using an alternative, solar energy source can be a growth engine to create a new social order, to a culture and aesthetic that sustains the modern worship of the sun, Through wearables and accessories that bring the ancient together with the modern.

An analogy between traditional craftsmanship from the ancient world and the advanced materials and technologies that are developed by scientists in laboratories.

Using the advanced technics used in the lab to create the solar cell on a flexible sheet of material -  The idea is to create sheets of silicone material which the solar cells are are already part of since the molding process.

With that technic, it would be possible to create a high-tech sheet of material that would be flexible enough to become a kind of textile.

A vision of a possible future:  solar technology as portable wearable that can be worn and produce electricity from sunlight.
