This era in the beginning of the 21st century brings challenges that have not been seen in decades.

The harsh realities in many countries in the Middle East and Africa play a significant role in the decision making process of many people, fleeing their countries and look for a better future in different areas of the world.

A study case here in Israel has shown the communities of African refugees in Tel-Aviv, struggling for recognition. Divided from society and cut-off from the local communities, those people are living in their own communities.  The issues concerning integration of the refugee communities with the local one are dealt with interesting perspective in European countries and firstly in Germany.

The Germans have a plan for the people they are welcoming inside their country and give them the opportunity to become equals in society.

After WW2, Berlin had many industrial buildings that are now converted into residence houses.

This project makes the transformation from a n industrial complex to a residence house in a way that would help making a social and cultural mix of the new and the local communities. A way that in time,  make them one.
